putting sunday to bed.

i had to wear lots of color today.
i had to curl my hair.
i had to escape my internal dialogue.
i had to cry when joel held me.
i had to have three helpings of rosemary bread and butter.
i had to learn to embrace this dark mood without the why.
i had to pick a huge beet and cut white dahlias.

i had to sit in grandma's chair.

...if you're putting Sunday to bed, I'll tuck it in before we turn off the lights.

you look so deeply NESTLED in that chair. rooted in yourself and rooted in the love that permeates the soil of your life. me & jsl, we are the sparkling nutrients sprinkled on the ground of your life. and when it rains your tears, we dissolve and sink deeper into your earth. we go straight to your bloodstream...we travel the pathways of your life until we reach the heart. then we settle there, lining your ventricles with peace.

i want color like that in my arteries; i want amethyst (jslk) and emerald (crwm) and rubies (kntbc) adorning my cardiovascular system. health care like THAT is priceless indeed.
