- the saint coming home early only to scoop me up and hold me for two hours
- finding the perfect pair of white jeans at a thrift store for $4.99
- arriving at my mom's to a fresh-out-of-the-oven peach pie
- taking my half-box of peaches home to make into jam
- the smell of sheets dried on the line
