the weekend report
This weekend was such a wonderful combination of activity and leisure, of social and solitude.
Friday was Clara's first trip to the city. She was all smiles and Seattle gave us one of the most beautiful summer days we've had thus far. Friday night brought the familiar and endearing sound of people around my table laughing, crying, philosophizing, you-tubing. Saturday was fuzzy from Friday's fun, so we watched movies in our PJs pretty much all day long. Sunday, Joel took us to the Washington Brewers Festival for a few beers and brats. We sit here on Sunday night, champagne in hand (a Sunday ritual), fire glowing, and enjoying the end to a beautiful Father's Day.
